I was invited this morning to record a short interview to talk about The Cotswolds Vintage Fair for the breakfast show on the local radio station in Winchcombe. I have never done a radio interview and though it wasn't live (thankfully) it was still a bit nerve~wracking, unaccustomed as I am to public speaking!
Anyhow, all good PR so I couldn't say no and I am very grateful to the radio station for asking me and supporting our event. I must say that the villagers of Toddington, Winchcombe and the surrounding area have been brilliant in helping to spread the word; local business, hotels and B&B's taking flyers for their guests, and the farmer for allowing us to use his big field opposite the hall for plenty of parking!
I'm looking forward to seeing all the stallholders again on Saturday ~ we have grown in size a bit and have a wonderful offering this year from local businesses such as Old Dairy Interiors ~ Liz hand~paints beautiful pieces of furniture and decorative items; Rosablue ~ Penny has a wonderful shop in Cheltenham filled with gorgeous vintage and handmade goodies. Sheila from Sheunique in Cirencester has a pretty little shop and will be with us offering mini vintage style makeovers where visitors can have a retro styled hair~do and make up.
We have sellers travelling from much further afield to be with us too ~ all of them specialists in their own field and of course, passionate about vintage style.
Lavinia's Tea Party will be once again setting up a gorgeous vintage style tea room outside on the terrace with pretty china and delicious homemade sandwiches and cakes.
The village hall is easy to find, located on the B4077 Tewkesbury to Stow-on-the-Wold Road.
Do come along and visit for a fab vintage day out!
If you want to have a chuckle (at my expense) Radio Winchcombe is at 107.1 FM for the local area or online. It will be aired sometime between 7.00am ~ 9.00am.
